Sandbags and Sand – The Sheriff’s Office has an emergency stock of sandbags and County DOT has the sand that will be provided at the below locations when emergency conditions warrant. When the National Weather Service advises that an impending storm or series of storms presents significant flooding potential that could be disastrous, sand and sandbags will be staged at various locations in the county. If you have problem areas on your property that flood during “normal” winter storms and during “normal” storm run-off occurrences, it is strongly suggested that you pre-plan and purchase sandbags and sand from local vendors before the storms arrive. DON’T WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE!
